New Release - Dulcie Crowder Gets Her Man
Hi Everyone -Today was release day for another RWASD member, Sarah Richmond! Sarah is a long distance member in Pasadena, but she hopes to return to us in San Diego soon! Please help us celebrate her first release with Avalon Books! :) Here's Sarah...
My first book with Avalon Books, Dulcie Crowder Gets Her Man, is due to be released on December 15, 2011.
A trip to Placerville, CA (once called Hangtown) inspired the story of Dulcie and Tom, a town rich in the history of the American West and containing a wealth of colorful characters, old and new. I'd been wanting to explore the gold rush towns ever since reading Isabel Allende's book, Daughter of Fortune.
A visit to the Placerville Historical Museum on Main Street gave me the historical details needed to make a story come alive. The museum is in one of the few buildings that survived the fires of the 1850's.
The Placerville street scene shows a rough and tumble mining town. I'm excited about a Western in development for television this fall called 'Hangtown'.
Congratulations Sarah on the new historical romance release!
